Privacy and moderation
This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information readers send us and how the community side of the project is run. It is written for the people who actually use the site, not for a filing cabinet.
The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and a message. You may also supply a phone number. When you send it, we store the information you submit, the selected topic, the language and the time of receipt in an access-restricted server log under /private/. The form does not accept file uploads.
We use submitted details only to review and, if appropriate, reply to messages about articles, reading clubs, walking routes, board game gatherings and local venues. Sending the form does not enroll you in an event or create a user account.
This contact form does not sign you up for newsletters, process reservations, or create a public profile. We do not intentionally run advertising trackers. Some site resources are loaded from external content-delivery services, which can receive normal connection information when your browser requests them.
Article suggestions and community contributions are reviewed editorially. The contact form is not a public discussion forum, and submitted messages are not automatically published.
You can contact us at the address below to ask about a submitted message, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy question. We review such requests in line with applicable requirements. Records are kept only as long as needed for the inquiry and applicable obligations.
