Questions people ask before their first outing

Most of what we hear is not about the events themselves but about the ground rules around them. Here is how the community actually works, what we ask of members, and where the limits sit.

If something here is unclear, the contact page is the right place to ask. How we handle reports and data is spelled out in the privacy policy.

No account is required to read the guides or the forums. A real name is not asked for, and we do not track your location. What we do ask is that whatever name you use stays consistent, so moderators can follow a conversation and members can recognize each other across outings.

Every forum post and outing proposal is read by a person before it appears. A small editorial team handles reports, and the guidelines are public: no harassment, no commercial solicitation, no discrimination. Repeated violations lead to removal. There is no automated ranking of members by engagement.

Interest profiles exist to suggest activities that match what you already enjoy, such as reading clubs, walks, or board game nights. They are not used to score people, sort them into tiers, or build behavioral profiles. You can leave them empty and still browse everything.

Reading the guides, the forums, and the event listings is open to read. Some outings happen in cafés or venues that set their own conditions, such as a minimum consumption, and those details are noted with the activity itself. There is no membership fee and no required number of attendances.

Read the activity description for the meeting point and the expected duration, and arrive a few minutes early if you can. Bring whatever the activity calls for, whether that is a book, comfortable shoes, or nothing at all. There is no formal introduction ritual, and leaving early is fine.

We do not send automated marketing, we do not sell attention, and we do not promise a match or a specific number of new friends. Friendships here form at their own pace, and the platform is built to stay out of the way while that happens.
